About the North East Acupuncture Project

Hello, my name is Jane Eaglesham and I’m a fully qualified acupuncturist based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

I'm a member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC), the Association of Community and Multibed Acupuncture Clinics (ACMAC) and the British Acupuncture Federation (BAF).

Following successful acupuncture treatments in 2016, I followed up my growing interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by enrolling on the BSc Acupuncture degree at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York where I graduated in 2022.

Since my first appointment as a patient, my passion for acupuncture has continued to grow and I feel lucky to be able to help others as an acupuncture practitioner.

Due to a community acupuncture scheme that previously ran in the area, I was able to access acupuncture when I needed it most, when a private treatment would have been unaffordable for me. I hope to make acupuncture as accessible as possible by removing any barriers to treatment and allowing others to access the same benefits that I was able to.

I also hope to raise awareness of the benefits of acupuncture and the powerful healing effects of group acupuncture sessions.

While I enjoy treating patients in all settings, my big passion is for community and multibed acupuncture and I am delighted to launch the North East Acupuncture Project offering affordable, accessible acupuncture in the north east.

Alongside affordable acupuncture clinics, I also hope to run a number of free (or close to) projects, drop-ins and workshops that focus on specific conditions and work with people who might otherwise miss out.
